Con Dao Passenger Port: location, Bến Đầm differences and ferry information

Ngôn ngữEnglish

Con Dao Passenger Port is on Tôn Đức Thắng Street near the centre of Côn Sơn Island, facing Côn Sơn Bay. Its curved terminal roof and sea-facing walkway make it recognisable. It is a different port from Bến Đầm, so check the actual arrival point before booking a car.

Where is Con Dao Passenger Port?

The terminal is on Tôn Đức Thắng Street near central Côn Đảo. You may also hear it called the central passenger terminal or the new passenger port. It began operating in March 2023. Not every ferry to Côn Đảo calls here, so always check the port printed on your ticket.

How is it different from Bến Đầm?

Con Dao Passenger Port is close to the central waterfront, while Bến Đầm is on the southwest side of Côn Sơn, roughly 12–15 km from the centre. This difference affects pickup times and transfer costs. Even travellers on the same general route may have different arrival terminals depending on the sailing and operator.

Ferry routes, schedules and fares

You may search Trần Đề–Côn Đảo, Vũng Tàu–Côn Đảo and Ho Chi Minh City–Côn Đảo routes below. This is a route-level search, not a guarantee that each displayed sailing berths at the central terminal. After selecting a service, verify the operator, ship name and ports at both ends.

How to avoid going to the wrong terminal

Before payment, record the route, sailing direction, date, vessel and both port names. If the ticket says only Côn Đảo, ask whether it means Bến Đầm or Con Dao Passenger Port. Send the confirmed location and arrival time to your driver or hotel. Round-trip tickets may use different terminals on the outward and return journeys.

Visiting the port and nearby waterfront

The terminal and bay are interesting to see, but working areas are not open for unrestricted access. Follow signs and staff instructions, and do not enter restricted walkways or obstruct boarding passengers for a photograph.

Common questions

Is Con Dao Passenger Port the same as Bến Đầm? No. Does every Côn Đảo Express vessel use the central terminal? No such assumption should be made; check the ticket. Is the timetable below exclusively for the central port? No, it covers routes to and from Côn Đảo. What if your hotel is on Tôn Đức Thắng? You may still need a transfer from Bến Đầm if that is your sailing’s arrival port.

Keep preparing for your journey.
